The Company
YourWorkplace is dedicated to fostering the growth of small and start-up businesses within the local community. Founded by local entrepreneurs, the initiative arose from the recognition of a significant gap in the availability of high-quality office environments in the Earby area compared to neighbouring towns.
After an extensive conversion process that began in June 2024, Lancaster House on Skipton Road has been transformed into a state-of-the-art office space, officially opening its doors in March 2025. The facility offers a welcoming business hub designed to meet the diverse needs of local enterprises, prioritizing sustainability in all operational aspects.
By providing a collaborative environment YourWorkplace aims to empower local businesses to thrive and contribute positively to the community's economic landscape.
Sustainability at the heart
Cost efficiency does not have to come at the expense of damage to the planet. As a company, we strive to provide energy-efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions to our occupants.
This is achieved through several means:
On-site battery storage: We utilize off-peak charging at night to provide energy to the building during the day, enhancing overall energy management and efficiency.
Solar Power: Our energy usage during the day is supported not only by our batteries but also by solar panels, which charge our batteries during low usage periods, thereby maximizing renewable energy usage.
Fully Electrical premises: All gas systems have been removed and replaced with electrical systems, including panel heaters, infrared ceiling panel heaters, and electric water heaters, allowing us to reduce carbon emissions effectively.
Walk/Cycle to Work Policy and support: We encourage our occupants to leave their cars at home by providing secure cycle storage and promoting walking to work policies, contributing to reduced traffic congestion and lower emissions.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to sustainability while ensuring cost efficiency in our operations.

A Rich Heritage
As locals to the community, we take great pride in the heritage of Earby, which is beautifully intertwined with our property located on Skipton Rd. For over a century, it has served as a hub for various commercial opportunities, contributing significantly to the Earby community with diverse enterprises such as a second-hand shop, a printing service, and a wedding dress boutique, among others.
Throughout our building, we display images that capture this rich heritage, showcasing features that highlight our long-standing connection to the community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Earby Historical Society for their invaluable contribution to preserving and sharing our history, as reflected in the images presented below.
